François Rochon's Stock Portfolio
Overview
François Rochon runs Giverny Capital from Montreal and has quietly built one of the best long-term track records of any fund manager you've never heard of. Since founding the firm in 1993, he has compounded at roughly 15% annually by owning a small number of high-quality American and Canadian businesses for many years. He is deeply Buffett-influenced — the annual letter even mimics the tone and format of the Berkshire letter — but his own voice is distinctive: disciplined, humble, and intellectually curious. His letters are among the most underrated in the industry and deserve far more attention than they get.
